DfE-funded Skills Bootcamps - training programmes to support individuals to retrain, update or formalise their skills or acquire specialist skills

Provek has partnered with City & Guilds Training, to deliver Skills Bootcamps as part of a UK Government initiative to provide employers with the opportunity to support individuals to retrain, update or formalise their skills or acquire specialist skills.

Provek run public bootcamps and we offer inhouse bootcamps for organisations (a minimum number of eight delegates required).

All of our skills bootcamps include a professional qualification in project management as well developing additional specialist skills – find out more about each of bootcamps using the links opposite including public bootcamp dates.

Achieve a professional qualification!

Achieve a professional qualification

As well as developing essential project management skills, delegates will have the opportunity to achieve a professional qualification within each bootcamp:

  • APM PFQ, or
  • APM PMQ, or
  • PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner (7th edition), or
  • AgilePM® Foundation and Practitioner

70-90% funding available for all bootcamps

The National Skills Fund will:

  • fund 90% of the cost of upskilling existing workforce for SME employers*
  • fund 70% of the cost of upskilling the existing workforce across the variety of sectors for large employers

*Definition to qualify as an SME: employs less than 250 employees and annual turnover is under €50 million. A large employer is anything that exceeds this.

Individuals can enrol on scheduled open bootcamps, or organisations can run their own closed bootcamps (minimum number of eight delegates for the cohort applies).

Benefits

  • Skill Development: Skills bootcamps are designed to provide intensive training in specific skills that are in demand in the job market. Participants can gain practical, hands-on experience in a relatively short period.
  • Rapid Training: Skills bootcamps are typically short-term, intensive programs, allowing participants to acquire new skills quickly. This can be advantageous for individuals seeking to upskill or reskill without committing to long-term educational programs.
  • Industry-Relevant Curriculum: Provek has partnered with Intertrain to develop curriculum that aligns with current industry needs. This ensures that participants are learning skills that are directly applicable to the workplace.
  • Support for Career Transitions: Skills bootcamps can be valuable for individuals looking to make career transitions or re-enter the workforce after a period of absence. The focused training provided can help bridge the gap between existing skills and the requirements of new roles.
  • Lifelong Learning Culture: Through this initiative, the UK Government is aiming to foster a culture of lifelong learning. This is important in a rapidly evolving job market where continuous skill development is increasingly essential.
