You can choose from three different learning options from Provek for many of our courses. Learn about their advantages and disadvantages and make the best choice.
Classroom (single event)
Traditional two- to five-day event in a classroom setting with tutor led sessions. Often some pre-course study will be required.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
Focused attention of delegates due to driven agenda | Less opportunity for delegates to reflect on learning |
Good opportunity to share experiences with other delegates | Difficult sometimes to block out so many consecutive days in diaries |
Many delegates prefer this option | More expensive than blended or online |
Modular classroom
Typically two x three-day modules for the APM PMQ for example, with 4-6 weeks in between. Pre-course study will be required.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
More classroom time in total and driven agenda | More time in total than the single event away from workplace |
Opportunity to consolidate learning between modules | Delegates may not use the time in between modules effectively |
Fewer consecutive days away from the workplace | Most expensive option |
Online
Using Provek’s PM Channel or workbooks, delegates study completely on their own. Expert remote tutor support is provided by Provek along with excellent study materials.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
Total flexibility in both how many delegates, from where and when study | No opportunity for delegates to share their experiences |
Each delegate can study at their own pace | Requires good self motivation and a receptive workplace learning culture |
Lowest cost option | High risk on not all delegates taking to complete self study option |
