Virtual classroom training is delivered using Zoom interactive video conferencing which allows you to learn using a powerful combination of video, virtual whiteboards and breakout rooms for small-group exercises.  It simulates very closely a classroom learning environment but with the advantage of geographic flexibility and zero travel costs.

Access to Zoom is provided by Provek, participants do not need to purchase Zoom.

Dates and Prices:

Please contact Provek to discuss dates and prices.

Course style:

Theory and practical case study work, delivered by a trainer who has practical experience of both project and programme management, will lead the delegates through the MSP framework and will work towards the final examinations using sample questions. Pre-course preparation material consisting of the MSP Manual and workbook ensures delegates are prepared for, and gain the maximum benefit from the workshop.  Delegates will be required to do evening work during the week that the course is taking place

Pre-requisites:

Delegates should be already working in a programme environment but no prior knowledge of the MSP method will be required. PRINCE2® Practitioner qualification is an advantage.

MSP principles, themes and processes

MSP consists of a set of principles, themes, and processes that provide a clear roadmap for the programme lifecycle, including larger, more strategic, complex, or multiple projects.

  • The principles represent the characteristics of a successful programme.
  • The governance themes allow organisations to put the right leadership, organisational structures, and controls in place.
  • The processes provide a route through the lifecycle of a programme to deliver the new capability and desired outcomes.

MSP delivery outcomes

MSP focuses on the delivery of outcomes of benefit, while mitigating risk and actively engaging stakeholders to:

  • Address the most common challenges that organisations encounter when leading investments in change
  • Align programmes and projects with organisational strategy
  • Cover key principles, governance themes and the processes needed to deliver change
  • Focus on the outcomes of benefits, whilst mitigating risks and actively engaging stakeholders.

Learning outcomes

The MSP Foundation Examination is intended to assess whether the candidate can demonstrate sufficient recall and understanding of the MSP programme management framework.
