Closing Projects and Lessons Learned

Course overview

Many organisations insist on completing a lessons learned exercise at project completion.

However, it seems that despite the effort involved in that exercise, the lessons are rarely learned and applied back in the work place.

In addition, the activities needed to close a project are often neglected leading to poor handover and dissatisfaction by the users.

This course will take you through the closure stage of a project and show what activities are necessary to ensure a smooth handover into operations and how the lessons learned through the project can be exploited for the future good of the organisation and the teams involved.

Project managers, programme and project office staff, work package managers and anyone who has to a role in the handover and closure stage of a project.

Duration:

One day.

Timings:

9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. but can be varied to suit the audience.

This course does not comprise a formal examination.

Pre-requisites:
