Provek is delighted to announce that through our partnership with University of Cumbria, learners that have successfully completed the Provek Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship and who meet the University entry requirements* will be guaranteed direct entry to year two of the Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship.
Through this route applicants will be able to achieve their BSc (Hons) in Project Management within three years, rather than the standard four years, fully funded through their employer’s apprenticeship levy. The course consists of two years of taught content followed by a third year during which the end-point assessment takes place.
The educational components of the programme are delivered online and provide apprentices, of all abilities and backgrounds, the opportunity to attain a degree level education. The online delivery is fully supported by tutors, and students will study together in their cohorts, interacting weekly and learning from each other as well as the lecturers.
The programme has been successfully running at University of Cumbria’s Carlisle and Furness campuses, for Sellafield Ltd and their supply chain, BAE Submarines and Rolls Royce since January 2019. The first National Online cohort started in September 2020.
University of Cumbria are launching their next open cohort in January 2021 and subsequent programmes will launch annually each September (potentially bi-annually subject to demand). Applications for the January 2021 programme will need to be made by Christmas 2020.
