Association for Project Management (APM) is developing a new ChPP assessment, planned for Spring 2027. The aim is to create a more intuitive and accessible assessment experience while maintaining the quality, fairness and rigour expected of Chartered status.
The most important thing to know is that the ChPP standard itself isn’t changing
The knowledge, competencies and requirements expected of Chartered Project Professionals will remain the same. What will change is how those capabilities are assessed.
APM has now completed its pilot of the new assessment and is reviewing the findings as part of its development.
Key dates
24th March – Applications for the current assessment are expected to close
31st March – Sample questions available
24th May – Bookings open for the new assessment
11th June – Final interviews for candidates completing the current assessment
14th June – Candidates begin the new assessment
If you’re already preparing for ChPP, keep going.
APM is advising candidates currently preparing their Chartered submission to continue as normal.
Provek will be following the changes closely so that we can continue helping project professionals prepare confidently for Chartered status.
