Managing Successful Programmes Foundation and Practitioner

This accredited course covers the AXELOS syllabus for the MSP framework and leads to the Foundation and Practitioner certificate examinations being taken within this 5-day course.

Note that the Advanced Practitioner examination is taken separately via a further 2-day course. It will provide those responsible for programme management with a recognised structure enabling them to realise the business benefits from programmes.

Who should attend:

It is designed to support any organisation or individual requiring a controlled approach to managing their programmes. Ideally delegates should be programme managers, key programme support office staff or senior project managers.

Duration: 5 days, with recommended minimum of 5 hours pre-study time required.
Timings: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday, Friday 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m
Examination: Foundation examination held on Thursday afternoon, 40 minutes, 50 questions.  Practitioner examination 3 hours to include 9 objective test questions.  The examination is held at the end of the course on the Friday morning
Venues: For in-house single client courses this event is held at the client selected venue.

Course style: Theory and practical case study work, delivered by a trainer who has practical experience of both project and programme management, will lead the delegates through the MSP framework and will work towards the final examinations using sample questions. Pre-course preparation material consisting of the MSP Manual and workbook ensures delegates are prepared for, and gain the maximum benefit from the workshop.  Delegates will be required to do evening work during the week that the course is taking place
Pre-requisites: Delegates should be already working in a programme environment but no prior knowledge of the MSP method will be required. PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification is an advantage.
Pre-course study: AXELOS's MSP Manual, Provek’s MSP pre-study workbook and disk. Recommended minimum of 5 hours pre-study time required.
